The Twin Ports area (Duluth, MN and Superior, WI) is well known as a tourist hot spot. Many visitors come for the natural beauty of the shores of Lake Superior, but if you are a history lover, there are a lot of great historical attractions to visit in the area as well!

While a handful of these attractions are very well known, the rest of these can be described as not being known even by the locals. Our museum visitors frequently comment on us being a hidden gem when the locals finally discover us!

To help other area attractions like ours, we’ve collected a list of Twin Ports area historical museums as well as the many monuments honoring our Military and area Veterans.

If you are interested in Military history, check out these 3 museums, they are all well worth a visit!
