The Lake Superior Squadron’s Armed Forces Museum was started by squadron volunteers in 2001. It has since grown has to offer over 3,000 historic artifacts ranging from the Civil War to today. The museum’s collection is large enough to be displayed in two different locations.  The Bong Center (in Superior, WI) hosts a number of artifacts from our collection and is open daily.  The remainder of our collection is hosted at the squadron hangar at the Bong Airport in Superior, WI.  The hangar is staffed by all volunteers and is normally open on Saturdays year round. .

In addition to normal open hours, we do provide tours for many organizations throughout the year. Please contact us if you are interested in a tour at the Bong Center or at the LSS Hangar Museum.
