6th Annual Richard I. Bong Airport Open House

Join the Superior Airport Community, the Lake Superior Squadron, and the Blue Water Big Band for a day of Food, Flying, and Fun at the Bong Airport in Superior WI.
The Open House is free for all and has something for all ages!
Rides are available for purchase from Superior Flying Services and on the Commemorative Air Forces Minnesota Wing’s BT-13.
The BT-13 is a World War II basic trainer which was used to train the majority of US Pilots during the war. Presales for the limited number of BT-13 are available here.

9 am Soft Open – BT-13 Rides begin
10 am Doors Open
11 am Presentation
11 am Food Service
12 pm Classic Car Club
1 pm Blue Water Big Band
4 pm Event Closes
Other Airport Tenants will be open that day including Superior Flying Services, Civil Air Patrol, and the EAA. Be sure to check out all they have to offer including flight services, Community Service, and educational opportunities.
Also, author Peggy Munro Scholberg will be here with her book “Girls in a World at War” which offers a firsthand account of young women who served in a General Hospital in France during WWII.
