DESCRIPTION:Rock the Ramp with Sound Inc is back this year! \nJoin the Lake Superior Squadron for a fun night of Rock at the Lake Superior Squadron Hangar.\nSound Inc will be performing their awesome repertoire of 60’S & 70’S— GOOD TIME ROCK n’ ROLL \nFood/Pop/Water/Beer will be available for purchase at the bar. \nDoors open at 5:30PM\nMusic Starts at 6:30PM \nThis is a ticketed event with all proceeds going to help the Lake Superior’s Squadron mission to Educate\, Honor\, and Inspire through flight and living history experiences.\nAll minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. \nTickets can be purchased here. \n($10 presales and $15 at the door.) \nP-38 Visit\nEarlier in the day\, a P-38 is planned to visit the airport courtesy of the Bong Veteran’s Historical Center.\nIf you would like to see the plane and learn more about the Bong’s Mission Marge project\, a small donation is requested from attendees at the following site:\nhttps://bongcenter.org/event/p-38-in-superior-press-conference/

DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wanted to be part of preserving the stories\, aircraft\, vehicles\, and history that helped shape our nation? \nThe Commemorative Air Force Lake Superior Squadron is looking for volunteers who share an interest in history\, aviation\, craftsmanship\, education\, and community service. Whether you have experience as a pilot\, mechanic\, woodworker\, welder\, historian\, educator\, event planner\, or simply enjoy learning and working alongside others\, we invite you to explore the opportunities available with our organization. \nEnclosed is an invitation to our “Explore Volunteering with the Lake Superior Squadron” Open House on Saturday\, September 19 at Noon. This informal event is an opportunity to meet our members\, tour our projects\, and learn how volunteers help us Educate\, Honor\, and Inspire through the restoration and preservation of historic aircraft and military vehicles. \nThere is no obligation and no prior aviation experience is required. We welcome anyone interested in putting their experience\, talents\, and enthusiasm to work helping preserve history for future generations.
