SUMMARY:5th Annual Richard I. Bong Airport Open House
DESCRIPTION:The Richard I. Bong Airport\, in Superior\, WI.\, is holding their 5th Annual Airport Open House on June 14th.  The free event will include airplane rides\, educational opportunities\, history\, food\, music\, a classic car gathering\, and much more! \nEAA will be open early for young eagle flights and breakfast. \nThe CAF Lake Superior Hangar will open at 9AM for history\, tours\, education\, and fun! \nCivil Air Patrol as well as other airport businesses and tenants will be out as well! \nWe’re stepping up the food game this year and Tom’s Taste of Chicago will be on site for some great meals – starting at 11am \nMini Donuts will be available as well! \nWe’re excited to have the Blue Water Big Band back again for some excellent music and dancing! \nSchedule of events: \n\n7:30 EAA activities begin\n9am CAF Doors Open\n11am Lunch Begins w/Tom’s Taste of Chicago\n11am Classic Car Gathering\n11am Youth Activities\n1PM Blue Water Big Band\n\nWe’re also excited to announce Mike O’Connor author of ACE OF ACES\, THE DICK BONG STORY and BADGER ACES\, WISCONSIN FIGHTER ACES 1917-1972 will be on site selling his books focused on Wisconsin Air Heros.   Come on out a meet him and maybe pick up a book or two! \nFinally\, Thank you to the City of Superior Parks\, Recreation & Forestry Department for sponsoring this event!
